Somebody in Maryland wants to change how Irvine votes.

Measure D would switch Irvine to ranked-choice voting. The county Registrar says in writing he has no certified system to run it and cannot tell Irvine what it will cost. The only money behind it is from out of town.

Irvine overspent by $6 million last year and projects a $47 million shortfall by 2030. The city's last election cost about $340,000. Nobody has told Irvine what this one would cost.
